influence national economic policies
To influence national economic policies towards enabling environment for production, processing and export of agricultural commodities.
With growing demand for commodities for export, farmers face traditional challenges of establishing commercial links with domestic exports and international buyers. These difficulties informed the intervention of FACAN.
How We Support
FACAN has been collaborating with Research Institutes, Agencies and State Agricultural Development Programme Offices on how farmers can increase agricultural commodities production and quality through seed distribution and extension support.
FACAN assists farmers to source for agricultural loans at a reasonable rate and give the support to their farms through access to key resources.
Annual meetings with farmers in the industry called Pre-Harvest are recognized to help farmers aggregate their individual harvest into exportable quality and to elect delegates who represents them at a larger forum of local buyers/sellers meeting in collaboration with Nigeria Export Promotion Council.
